Welcome to Maple Lawn Farm! We are Dwight and Megan Espenschied and we are both 4th generation farmers working hard to pursue the American dream. We married in 2002 and purchased our first farm that same year. It was definitely a stretch for 2 kids in their early twenties, but we sacrificed much to be able to own our own little slice of heaven. Our way of life is becoming increasingly obsolete, but we are striving to still live out the values our parents and grandparents instilled in us. We each work off the farm as well to help the operation stay solvent and grow.  

Wyatt and Audrey were born in 2007 and 2011 and completed the fifth generation of farmers. While they have a long way to go, they have become ideal farmhands.  Some kids come home from school and relax - our kids are feeding the herd and ensuring they're happy and healthy.  

And that's what makes our farm unique - we put countless hours into maintaining our way of life. We do the work ourselves, and while it doesn't make for much of a social life, our kids are growing up knowing the value of hard work and dedication.  Someday, when they're ready to start off on their own, we'll encourage them to continue working hard and adding to the legacy that we've maintained for them.
